Close ups
This painting was first posted in 2010. I needed something to commemorate today and this filled the bill.
Today is also known as Remembrance Day. So let us remember and earnestly thank God for the generations of service personnel who have so unselfishly defended this great country of ours. Many times with blood and to the last beat of their hearts.
Remember always to praise and pray. Praise our finest young citizens in the service...And pray for peace.
Despite all the ugly rumors, American pride is still alive and well. God bless all who are in the service of our great country...and all who ever were.
Psalm 16:8 I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Luke 20:36
Neither can
they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the
children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
Bonsoir cher ami,
ReplyDeleteQuel bel hommage en ce jour particulier du 11 novembre...
Une très jolie peinture pour illustrer cet événement.
Gros bisous
Good morning Dean!... A wonderful painted tribute to our service men and women and their families... past and present!
ReplyDeleteHow often do you think of your own freedom and feel blessed to enjoy it! Every day would be Remembrance Day if we did so!
So touching, Dean. I think I vaguely remember the back story to this piece as well. Thank you for always remembering.
ReplyDeleteAs always, a great painting and great words.
ReplyDeleteBravo and thank you, Dean. I always look forward to your tributes. This is a heartwarming reminder to give thanks not only to God and the military but also to the families who miss them while they are away.
