Rooster 3- Animal Art


Oil on 8x10 archival canvas panel. My first painting of the year. Ya know, I'm glad '07 is finally here! It was a struggle for me to sign my paintings with '06 because that 6 ain't easy to paint. Lol.

    Hi Dean, 2007 will be easy to paint and then 2008 comes and it's worse than 2006, lol. Keep up the wonderful work, really enjoy seeing it. Thanks!

    Thanks, Rhonda. Glad you like the background. That's something I sometimes try to resolve at the last moment in my painting process...to make the background and subject play off of one another.
    On this one I had a lot of doubts..appreciate your vindicating my choice.

    Dean, I just discovered the Daily Painter's site. I believe your work is my favorite. I'm an amateur painter too and I'm envious of those with the talent to put out work almost everyday. I struggle for weeks usually on the same piece. Keep up the good work.
