Banty Rooster
Acrylic on 7x5 gessoed hardboard.
The surface is so smooth it's fun to see the thinned acrylic puddle and slide all over it. When it started losing it's slipperiness, I sprayed it with clear acrylic gloss coat...and here we go again! I also used my trusty Faber Castell Pitt Pen.
Loved this little bantam's fearless attitude. Looks like he's gonna shout "I am the GREATEST" ala Ali.
The image for this painting was supplied by Stoney for this week's WDE at Wet Canvas.

looks like you had fun with this one.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Lots of energy in this piece. And I see you are using my personal brand of mixed media - acrylic and pen or pencil. Great job!
ReplyDeleteGreat rooster. We have one that I've thought about painting. He is so arrogant and struts like he is the "cock of the roost", which I guess he really is. You've done a great job.
ReplyDeleteTrès fier et il le faut pour un coq! Bravo bien réussi.
ReplyDeletevery cheerful! Love the drippy colors and pen
