Pirhana

Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel.

I've always been fascinated by these fish. Always watched those horrible documentaries when a school of them went after an unfortunate victim with their flashing teeth. It reminded me of my large family ( when I was a kid) gathered around a pick-nick table on Memorial Day when the burgers were served up.

    Grizzly

Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel. I decided to do this grizzly with more expressive brush strokes and color.
Sorry, I missed out on posting yesterday. My computer was choking on huge dust bunnies and overheating! To protect its own life it kept shutting down. Had to get my puter guru over to clean out the mess.

    Child's Play-Bubbles

Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel. When I started this painting, I wanted something that was rather simple and wouldn't take too long to complete. Wrong! Those bubbles took quite a bit of concentration and time. Hope you like it.

    Sliced Lemon

Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel. The alignment of the lemon half, slices, and shadows provided an interesting composition.

    Colorful Kitten

Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel. This little critter was posted on March 25 titled 'Contemporary Kitten'. Today I finally decide to rework him. I really pushed the color, so I guess he's still somewhat contemporary and expressive. Anyhow, I enjoyed the journey and like where I arrived with it.

    Canada Goose & Goslings

Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel. The reference photo for this painting was graciously supplied by Anne who is hosting a Friday get together at Wet Canvas called the weekend Drawing Event. I thought this was very appropriate for Mother's Day which is tomorrow.

    Golden Rooster

Oil on 7x5 archival canvas panel. This painting has been previously posted, but I went back and added some subtle changes in the comb and plumage shadows. I really like this one because of attitude, color, and paint texture.

    Great Blue Heron

Oil on 7x5 archival canvas panel. Sorry, subscribers. Looks like my schedule has reduced me to being a weekend painter. Once I adjust to it, I should be able to do several a week...and then, hopefully, one a day as I first started.

The guy in this painting is the ever so stately and elegant great blue heron. I'm happy with how he turned out.
