Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel. A little white bunny observing from its' secretive world. As all the candy colors crept into this painting, I wondered could this be the Easter Bunny??

    Contemporary Kitten

Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel. This is another in my contemporary explorations. The first was a cat posted here on Feb. 14th. It starts with a canvas which is basically toned with acrylic to resemble an abstract. The subject is then painted on top of this with oils. I allow much of the pre-existing acrylic the remain visible in the final painting. I may have overpainted this one and covered too much of the acrylic.

    Gold Rooster-Animal Art

Oil on 7x5 archival canvas panel. In response to several gracious requests, here's another rooster painting. I never tire of doing these elegant birds. Their vibrant color and personalities always kicks my paintbrush into high gear.

    Rabbit-Animal Art

Oil on 9x12 canvas panel. I usually tone the canvas with a thin layer of reddish acrylic and leave it peeking through the finished oil. This adds sparkle and harmony, in my opinion.

Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel. Here it is, March 18th, and the glorious signs of Spring are appearing in Ohio! One sign I have always loved and looked forward to arriving is the robin...it sings such a beautiful song. I praise God for the experience.

Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel. Here's my contribution for today. It was like a practice in controlling value ranges, chromatic intensity, and edges all at once. Great fun...necessary learning.

    Gray Cat-Animal Art

Oil on archival 10x8 canvas panel. I applied the paint thickly to selected parts in this kitty's face. It takes on the effect of focusing the viewer's attention around the eyes ( the focal point ).

    Sunflower-Still Life

Oil on 7x5 archival canvas panel. Here's my 125th post. A floral arrangement in a vase. This is another first for me. I haven't done a floral in years. Yesterday, I posted an apple painting which was a first. Hmmm..makes me wonder what's next.
